What services does Universal Estrella International Limited provide?
We specialize in IPM services for well intervention, workover operations, new drilling projects, initial completions, and re-completions to maximize the efficiency and productivity of oil and gas wells.
What industries do you serve?
Our services cater to the oil and gas sector, including upstream exploration and production companies.
Where are your operations located?
We operate in many different locations mainly in Nigeria. Contact us for specific locations and support.
Well Intervention Operations
All your questions about the Well Intervention answered.
What is well intervention?
Well intervention involves performing maintenance or enhancement operations on an existing well to restore or improve production without drilling a new one.
When is well intervention needed?
Well intervention is typically required to address declining production, remove blockages, repair damaged equipment, or enhance flow through techniques like acidizing or fracturing.
Workover Operations
All your questions about the Workover answered.
What is a workover operation?
A workover is a major well servicing activity that involves repairs, modifications, or upgrades to a well to maintain or enhance production.
How long does a typical workover take?
The duration depends on the complexity of the operation. Minor repairs might take a few days, while major modifications could take several weeks.
New Drilling Operations Operations
All your questions about the New Drilling answered.
What types of drilling techniques do you use?
We utilize vertical, horizontal, and directional drilling techniques, employing the latest technologies for precision and efficiency.
What safety measures are in place during drilling operations?
Our team follows strict industry standards, including blowout prevention (BOP) systems, continuous monitoring, and well control practices to ensure safety.
Initial Completion Operations
What is initial well completion?
Initial completion prepares a newly drilled well or a well that was drilled and suspended for a while for production by installing properly designed and agreed lower (optional) and upper completions after perforating the casing and formation (or open hole) and connecting all of these to the surface Christmas tree in a close pressure containment environment.
What factors influence the completion design?
Factors include but not limited to type of hydrocarbons being extracted (oil, gas, or a mix), reservoir characteristics, expected production rates, well depth, etc
Re-Completion Operations
What is re-completion?
Re-completion involves retrieving an existing completion and re-installing same or new completions after enhancing performance from the original formation or addition of new zones in order to optimize production of the well. If New zones are to be utilized, the workscope could also involve the abandonment of the old zones by squeezing off to ensure no hydrocarbons (and resulted well pressures) can come out of them.
When is re-completion considered?
Re-completion is performed when the current production zone is depleted or producing too much water and reservoir data suggests untapped potential still exist in that reservoir or other reservoirs within the well. It could also be as a result of the fact that technological advancements which could make additional zones to become economically viable.
Technical and Operational Operations
What equipment do you use for interventions and workovers?
We employ coiled tubing units, Slickline Units and tools, wireline units and tools, workover rigs, Hydraulic Workover Units, Snubbing Units, tubular running equipment, fishing equipment, perforation guns, logging tools, and stimulation equipment tailored to the specific well conditions.
How do you ensure minimal downtime during operations?
Through detailed planning, real-time monitoring and use of very experienced personnel, we optimize operations to reduce delays and maximize efficiency.
Cost and Scheduling Operations
All your questions about the Cost and Scheduling answered.
How are project costs determined?
Costs depend on the scope of work, well conditions, location, and equipment required. We provide customized quotes after a thorough evaluation.
What is the typical lead time for scheduling a service?
Lead times vary based on project complexity and resource availability. Contact us for specific timelines and scheduling.
Environmental and Safety Operations
How do you minimize environmental impact?
We follow stringent environmental regulations, use eco-friendly chemicals when possible, and implement advanced waste management systems to reduce our footprint.
What safety protocols do you follow?
Safety is our top priority. We comply with industry standards, conduct regular training, and employ certified safety equipment for all operations.
